Fluoride varnish is a concentrated gel/liquid that is applied to teeth after a cleaning to strengthen enamel and prevent decay. Fluoride helps strengthen the structure of enamel, directly blocks bacteria from producing acidic byproducts, and keeps teeth highly mineralized and strong.
